A Message from Allison . . .

Academic excellence is a common goal that all students should share.  Many students are content to simply pass and get by rather than finding fulfillment in higher success.  Through my platform, I strive to encourage students to never settle for just good enough but always work to do their best in the classroom.

Promoting this issue is very important to me.  I had the opportunity to intern in the United States House of Representatives where I worked extensively with congressional representatives and their constituents to find ways to motivate our country's youth.  I have written a statewide proclamation that was signed into effect by Governor Mike Huckabee declaring Encouraging Academic Excellence Week throughout Arkansas.  I currently serve as the local coordinator for Reading is Fundamental, a nationwide organization whose goal is to provide books to underprivileged children.  These are only a few of the things that I have been able to do to Encourage Academic Excellence.

It is our responsibility to motivate and enourage our students to succeed today, because they will be the leaders of tomorrow.  Please email me with any comments or suggestions on ways that we can continue to Encourage Academic Excellence.
